Ashley had a lot of content she needed to incorporate ( lots of photos, 20+ items, instructions for care, lists of stockists and events, a tumblr blog, an etsy site…), so one of my biggest tasks was getting all of it up there in an organized and pleasing-to-the-eye sort of way.

She also had a lot of really beautiful photographs of her process as well as finished clothing on a model, taken by Jackie Puwalski, Kara Kochalko, and Ashley herself. I cropped and edited my favorites, then made a slideshow for the homepage and tossed in more throughout the site.

I created a color palette for her, drawing inspiration from her work. I tried to combine colors that were a little bright and interesting, but would mesh well with her stuff, not overpower it.  I also made her a logo, which I don’t normally do but decided to just go with something simple and classy.

 

Technologies used: HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, PHP, WordPress, Photoshop.
